I reported from the foot of the eight-thousanders Mount Everest (in 2005) and Manaslu (in 2007). Skied the last 120 kilometers from 89 degrees latitude to the North Pole (in 2009). Failed on the 7,246 meter high Putha Hiunchuli in Nepal about 100 meters below the summit (in 2011). Was one of the first ascenders of the 7,129-meter-high Kokodak Dome in China (in 2014).
